OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fitter to join our team in Bardstown, KY. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about welding and fabrication, and who thrive in a collaborative and dynamic environment. If you're interested in a weekend shift (Friday/Saturday/Sunday), we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Perform welding and fitting tasks using various techniques, including MIG and stick welding.
- Assemble and fabricate metal components to create structures and equipment.
- Inspect and test welded joints to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines.
- Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in welding preferred.
- Proven experience as a welder, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Familiarity with safety standards and practices in welding and fabrication.
- Experience in Mig, Stick, or Fluxcore welding
