Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality rehabilitative care in accordance with individualized treatment plans developed by licensed Physical Therapists, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety standards.
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises and mobility training, guiding them through crucial movements that promote strength, balance, and functional independence.
• Monitor patient progress during therapy sessions, documenting findings accurately and communicating relevant information to the therapy and nursing teams to adjust care strategies as needed.
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and safety measures that ensure a smooth transition from facility-based therapy to home care.
• Maintain compliance with all documentation standards, actively participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to contribute to the overall care planning process.
• Create and uphold a motivating, compassionate atmosphere that encourages patient engagement and supports overall morale and recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist Assistant at our skilled nursing facility, you'll be primarily working with older adults who may be recovering from surgeries, strokes, fractures, or managing chronic conditions such as arthritis. Our patient-centered approach focuses on maintaining each resident's dignity and independence while improving their physical capabilities. Qualifications

• Associate's Degree from a CAPTE-accredited program for Physical Therapist Assistants.
• Active Virginia PTA license or eligibility for licensure.

Compensation and Benefits
