D365 F&O Senior Technical Support Consultant

Our partner is looking for a D365 F&O Senior Technical Support Consultant based in the United States. This role offers an opportunity to provide senior-level technical expertise across Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations environments for enterprise clients. You will take ownership of critical technical support activities spanning deployments, maintenance, development, integrations, data migration, and enhancements. The position combines hands-on X++ development with Azure, Azure DevOps, Lifecycle Services, Power Platform, and other Microsoft technologies. You will collaborate closely with clients, functional teams, support teams, and other technical specialists to resolve complex challenges and deliver reliable solutions. The role also involves reviewing code, supporting development initiatives, documenting technical designs, and helping clients successfully adopt new capabilities. Strong consulting and communication skills are essential, as you will balance technical delivery with client relationships, priorities, and expectations. Accountabilities Work as a senior technical contributor on enterprise Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations client engagements. Own technical support activities including system deployment, environment maintenance, data migration, enhancement design and development, code reviews, builds, and deployments. Design, develop, and manage integrations across D365 F&O and connected systems using Azure and relevant integration technologies. Support client environments and collaborate with support management and functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Assist with data conversion activities and development work created by other team members. Use Power Platform Admin Center, Azure DevOps, Azure, Lifecycle Services, and standard Microsoft tools to deliver project and support work. Develop and maintain technical specifications, solution documentation, and end-user materials. Provide technical guidance and support throughout implementation, enhancement, and maintenance activities. Support user training and help clients understand technical solutions and system capabilities. Manage priorities effectively while maintaining strong client relationships and delivering high-quality work within agreed timelines. Participate in code reviews and contribute to development standards, quality assurance, builds, and deployment processes. Collaborate with cross-functional and client teams to identify practical solutions and continuously improve technical delivery. Requirements Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience. 10+ years of hands-on development experience with X++. 7+ years of direct experience managing software implementation deployments. Previous experience developing and supporting enterprise ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365 F&O. Strong familiarity with Azure DevOps and Dynamics Lifecycle Services. Experience using Azure for integrations and cloud-based technical solutions. Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI. Experience with SSRS, SSMS, Azure DevOps, Azure, and Power Platform Admin Center. Strong client relationship, organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear technical documentation. Previous consulting experience is strongly preferred. Prior Tier 1 or Tier 2 technical support experience is a plus. Experience with Dynamics AX 2009 and AX 2012, including upgrades or migrations to D365 F&O, is preferred. Experience with D365 F&O modules such as Supply Chain Management, Trade & Logistics, Production, or Finance is a plus. Microsoft certifications related to SQL, Dynamics AX/365, Visual Studio, or D365 F&O development are preferred. Experience developing with Power Apps is an advantage. Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder. Benefits Annual base compensation range of $81,980.50–$172,324.25 , with the specific offer determined by factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
