Director of Revenue Cycle

An exciting leadership opportunity is available for an experienced healthcare revenue cycle professional to oversee the Patient Financial Services department at a critical access hospital. The Revenue Cycle Director will play a key role in strengthening financial performance while supporting efficient and patient-focused operations.


The Revenue Cycle Director will oversee billing, accounts receivable, cash management, denial management, and financial reporting. This leader will manage three direct-report managers and work across departments to improve claim submission, reimbursement, productivity, and overall revenue cycle performance.

The Director will manage external vendors and revenue cycle systems while maintaining strong internal controls over financial records and cash collections. Responsibilities also include financial forecasting, AR monitoring, audit preparation, and compliance with regulatory and payer requirements.

This role will lead staff development including hiring, training, performance management, and team growth. The Director will also build multidisciplinary teams and support patient-friendly billing practices that improve customer satisfaction and efficiency.

Qualified candidates must have a bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, management, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred. Candidates should also have at least 7 years of healthcare receivables management experience with critical access hospital experience and strong knowledge of hospital and physician billing, reimbursement, financial analysis, and revenue resolution.
