Controls Technician

We are seeking a skilled Controls Technician to install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial automation and control systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLCs, industrial electrical systems, and automated production equipment. This position requires the ability to work safely with electrical systems up to 480 volts and a willingness to work overtime,My client offers excellent benefits!

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair automated manufacturing equipment and control systems.
• Program, modify, and maintain Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLCs .
• Maintain and troubleshoot HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, sensors, and industrial networks.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and technical manuals.
• Install, test, and commission new automation equipment and control systems.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical and control systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits, motors, relays, contactors, and control panels.
• Safely work on and around electrical systems operating at voltages up to 480 VAC .
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Coordinate with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) requirements.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working up to 15 hrs of overtime per week
