Job Summary Provides educational opportunities to nurses for their professional development by identifying individuals and/or groups who do not meet established competency expectations, conducting needs assessments to identify and bridge knowledge, skill, and practice gaps, and designing education programs to meet the learning and developmental needs of the clinical staff. Responsibilities include creating short, intermediate, and long‑range development plans, applying adult learning principles and educational design processes to implement programs, serving as a trainer in various modalities (virtual or in‑person classroom), monitoring program effectiveness through metrics and outcome measures, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards, and continuously improving educational content based on research and practice advancements. Essential Responsibilities Promotes learning in others by proactively providing and developing information, resources, advice, and expertise; builds relationships with cross‑functional stakeholders; listens to feedback and provides actionable feedback to others and managers; pursues self‑development and leads by influencing others through technical explanations; adapts to change and facilitates team collaboration. Completes work assignments autonomously and supports business‑specific projects by applying subject‑area expertise; encourages adherence to procedures and policies; collaborates cross‑functionally to make effective decisions, provides recommendations, solves complex problems, escalates high‑priority issues, monitors progress, and identifies improvement opportunities. Provides educational opportunities for nurses by identifying competency gaps, recommending longitudinal education plans, conducting needs assessments, developing remediation plans, and designing study protocols, timelines, and budgets aligned with organizational objectives and regulatory guidelines. Creates course curricula, training aids, and supporting materials, collaborates with subject‑matter experts and nursing leaders, and ensures content accuracy. Verifies standards are implemented and met by monitoring processes, ensuring legal and accreditation compliance, delivering accurate and evidence‑based information, and developing and reviewing policies, procedures, and automated systems. Participates in continuous improvement by researching and appraising literature, staying current with nursing practice and technology, conducting ongoing performance assessments, and linking educational needs to current and planned programs. Ensures effective development delivery by implementing and delivering education plans, applying adult learning principles, and leading professional development using best‑practice modalities. Monitors effectiveness of development by establishing measurement systems, reviewing metrics, facilitating debreifs, providing feedback, and revising programs to improve quality. Supports clinical development by influencing and collaborating on education goals, documenting clinical workflows, providing consultative services, and engaging in interdisciplinary committees to integrate educational activities into clinical care. Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a health‑related field and at least four (4) years of experience in an inpatient, clinic, or skilled nursing setting. Registered Professional Nurse License (Georgia) required at hire. Basic Life Support certification required at hire. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Nursing or a health‑related field. Three (3) years of experience in nursing education or a teaching/training environment.
