Schedule

Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30). Must be open to working weekends, with the possibility of exceeding every other weekend.

Job Description

Join a high-acuity and high-volume emergency department with an average of 230 visits per day. This position focuses on adult and geriatric patients, with about 10% pediatric patients who will be transported to a specialized facility. The ER is a Stroke and Stemi Center and is Magnet designated.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to patients with various emergency conditions such as respiratory issues, strokes, abdominal pain, cardiac events, and sepsis.
• Utilize clinical skills in triage, patient assessment, and management of critical cases.
• Prepare and administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services.
• Ensure effective communication with patients and their families regarding treatment plans and patient care.
• Assist with bedside procedures and triage patients appropriately.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in an emergency department setting (2 years preferred).
• Current RN license in the state required; compact license must be in hand at submission.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS are required.
• Strong experience with Epic charting system highly preferred; candidates without Epic experience will not be considered.
• Must be willing to float between units as needed, including telemetry and ICU.
