Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team in a high-acuity, high-volume emergency department. This position involves caring for patients of all ages, with a primary focus on geriatric and adult populations, while also being equipped to handle pediatric patients as needed.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive nursing care in a fast-paced emergency room environment with a patient volume of approximately 230 visits per day.Work effectively within a team, maintaining a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:4.Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on clinical guidelines and protocols.Manage diverse cases including respiratory issues, strokes, abdominal pain, cardiac events, and sepsis.Transport pediatric patients to specialized facilities as required.Participate in ongoing education and training related to stroke and STEMI protocols.Expected to float between units, including telemetry and ICU, as needed.QualificationsRegistered Nurse with a minimum of 1.5 years of emergency room experience; 2 years preferred.Stroke experience is mandatory.EPIC charting experience is highly preferred.Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS.Preferred certifications include TNCC and CEN or CPN.Must be available to work weekends, with a commitment to at least 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule cycle. Weekend shifts may exceed every other weekend.Working ConditionsShifts will primarily be night shifts (3x12 hours, 19:00 - 07:30).Free parking is available.Please note that regular holiday RTO (requested time off) cannot be guaranteed and must be approved in advance.Additional InformationThis is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate registered nurse to work in a Magnet-designated facility known for its commitment to high-quality patient care.
