Empress EMS Hiring For New Montefiore 911 "BLS Enhancement Unit" Empress Ambulance Service in conjunction with Montefiore Medical Center is excited to announce that we will be fielding a BLS enhancement unit for the NYC 911 system that will operate in the Borough of the Bronx starting on June 5th. Location and designation TBD. EMT’S interested in applying for a position on this unit are encouraged to apply online at follow the employment tab and fill out the application for the NYC Division. The unit will operate M-F from 0800-0000 running on 8 hour tours. Full time @ 40 hours a week, Part time @ 16 hours a week and Per Diem @ 24 hours a month (minimum). This program is slated to run through Labor day and if successful in the eyes of the FDNY and the hospital MAY be picked up as a permanent unit in the system so we are looking for people who would be interested in staying on if it does.
