Medical Billing Specialist - Denials

Job Functions, Duties, Responsibilities and Position Qualifications: LOCATION: 250 Miller Place, Hicksville, NY 11801 HOURS: Monday to Friday; Flexible Hours Possible Remote Work after 6 months in Office, Weekly office work required if remote FULL TIME: Benefits Eligible HOURLY RATE: $18.00 - $24.00/hr In this role you will: Work and resolve front end errors and payer rejections in Clearinghouse Collect reimbursements for services rendered by reviewing insurance carriers reject reports, EOB's and or correspondence Use established protocols to contact providers and clients to resolve discrepancies in processed, partially paid and unpaid claims with timely appropriate follow up action Review and adjust claims as needed and process refund and Medical record requests from mail received by the insurance companies All you need is: HS Diploma or Medical Billing Certification from an accredited school 1-2 years of billing and insurance knowledge Knowledge of ICD10, CPT and HCPCS codes Medical terminology 1-2 years of A/R follow up and denials Knowledge of Excel Basic understanding of medical billing compliance Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Work Shift: 1st Shift (United States of America) Job Category: Accounts Receivable Company: Sunrise Medical Laboratories, Inc.
