Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney

Queens Village, New York

A well-established and highly regarded boutique law firm in Queens Village is seeking a mid- to senior-level Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join its collaborative and growing practice. The firm represents a diverse client base ranging from major real estate developers and businesses to closely held companies and individual clients. The practice includes a broad mix of commercial litigation, real estate litigation, estate litigation, partnership and corporate disputes, and related business matters. Responsibilities

• Independently manage a diverse caseload of approximately 40 active matters at varying stages of litigation
• Handle matters from inception through resolution with minimal supervision
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery demands and responses, and dispositive motions
• Conduct depositions, court appearances, mediations, and settlement negotiations
• Work on a variety of complex commercial disputes, including:
  • Real estate litigation
  • Partnership and shareholder disputes
  • Breach of fiduciary duty claims
  • Specific performance actions
  • Partition actions
  • Contract disputes
• Collaborate closely with partners and other attorneys on litigation strategy and case management
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide practical legal guidance

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of commercial litigation and/or real estate litigation experience
• Strong ability to independently manage cases and move matters forward efficiently
• Experience handling sophisticated business disputes preferred
• Trial experience is a plus, though not required
• Portable business is highly valued and will be compensated accordingly
• Excellent writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to thrive in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary range of approximately $175,000–$200,000, depending on experience
• Discretionary year-end bonus based on performance and billable hours
