Senior Accountant — Part-Time / Hybrid

Austin, TX | 20 hours/week | $30–$45/hour

 

An established Austin-based company is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a part-time, hands-on accounting role.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants a 20-hour-per-week schedule while still doing meaningful, higher-level accounting work. You’ll handle day-to-day accounting responsibilities while also supporting financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business decision-making.

 

What You’ll Do

• Handle core accounting functions including general ledger, AP, payroll, and reconciliations
• Support month-end close and financial reporting
• Review P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
• Manage and support payroll processes
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash planning, and variance analysis
• Provide financial reporting and insights to leadership
• Coordinate with outside accounting, payroll, banking, and other financial partners
• Help improve accounting processes and efficiencies

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Operations, or related business discipline
• Strong hands-on general accounting experience
• Payroll experience required
• Strong understanding of P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, general ledger, and month-end close
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and/or variance analysis strongly preferred
• QuickBooks experience strongly preferred
• Strong Excel skills
• Comfortable working independently in a small-to-mid-sized organization
• Able to communicate financial information clearly to senior leadership

Compensation: $30–$45/hour
