The Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) team is in search of a Mid-Career Systems Engineer to be part of the multi-disciplined engineering team responsible for designing and certifying missile defense technology that could forever change our ability to deter and respond to conflict.

Duties and responsibilities may include, but are limited to the following:

• Lead and coordinate with a complex, multidisciplinary team of engineers, which includes but is not limited to representation from Aero, Thermal, Separation Dynamics, Loads, Stress, Trajectory Design, NG&C, FSW, Mechanical Design, Mechanical Integration, Initiation, Instrumentation/Telemetry, TPS, and Ground Test
• Conduct regular working meetings, maintain a schedule, and track action item closure
• Support major program reviews including SRR, PDR, and CDR
• Establish proper configuration and version control during rapid modeling revisions
• Ensure sufficient analytical predictions are issued ahead of flight test to support the immediate post-flight analyses, post-flight model correlation, and eventual model validation as allowed by the flight test data
• Orchestrate trade studies to inform changes to hardware configuration and design as well as mission architecture in order to improve robustness and reliability.
• Support the identification, derivation, verification and validation of requirements
• Specification and Interface Control Document development
• Identify, maintain, and mitigate risks associated with the AUR development
• Coordinate and conduct frequent Customer and Sr. Leadership briefings, as required

You may also support missile system analyses in support of mission planning and execution as well as tests at various test ranges. Some travel may be required. Multiple locations available.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $109,200 - $192,510. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
