Land Surveyor

Land Surveyor – Geospatial Data Services SEH is an employee‑owned engineering, architectural, planning, and environmental company that serves government, industrial, and commercial clients. Established in 1927, we deliver solutions to complex challenges across the United States. Responsibilities Assist with field surveys across multiple project types, including boundary, topographic, and construction surveys; support data reduction, digital terrain modeling, and surface creation; prepare right‑of‑way plats, certified survey maps, and boundary survey documents; contribute to drafting and survey computations; collaborate with project teams while maintaining the ability to work independently in the field; travel as needed to support project demands. Prepare right‑of‑way plats, certified survey maps, boundary surveys, and other survey‑related documents. Assist with drafting and survey computations. Collaborate with project teams while maintaining the ability to work independently in the field. Travel as needed to support project demands. Essential Qualifications Willingness and ability to work overtime as project schedules require. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently. Ability to walk and climb over rough terrain and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to work outdoors for 8–12 hours in varying weather conditions. Ability to travel for projects, meetings, and overnight stays as needed. Preferred Qualifications Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience with basic surveying procedures, including boundary and land surveys; topographic surveys; construction staking methods using Total Stations and GPS. Experience with drafting, survey computations, and interpreting plans and easement descriptions. Field experience using Trimble survey equipment. Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Trimble Business Center, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.). Additional Requirements Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future. Must reside or be willing to relocate to Grand Rapids, MN. Position requires a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check verifying a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets the company’s Driving Program requirements. Compensation and Benefits Base compensation range: $54,000 – $75,000, depending on skill set and experience.
