Department/Unit: HBD – General Surgery Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Salary Range: $54,690.00 - $82,035.00 (Hourly: $27.00/hr – $37.32/hr) Position Type: Full Time LPN Location: General Surgery Office – Albany, NY Work Schedule: Monday – Friday Essential Duties and Responsibilities Obtains and accurately records patient’s vital signs Documents components of patient’s history Communicates in an open and appropriate manner with patients, visitors and staff Participates in in‑office procedures under the direction and supervision of a licensed healthcare provider Performs diagnostic CLIA waived testing Performs venipuncture to obtain blood for lab testing Handles prescription call‑backs per scope of practice Preps patient’s chart for pertinent clinical information Maintains inventory of supplies and keeps patient examination rooms stocked Adheres to AMC’s regulatory compliance issues Qualifications High School Diploma/G.E.D. – required LPN – Licensed Practical Nurse – State Licensure Upon Hire – required Previous experience in a patient care setting – preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present information and respond to questions from physicians, patients, families, and staff Physical Demands Standing and walking constantly; sitting constantly; lifting rarely; carrying frequently; pushing frequently; pulling occasionally; climbing occasionally; balancing occasionally; stooping occasionally; kneeling frequently; crouching frequently; crawling frequently; reaching occasionally; handling frequently; grasping frequently; feeling frequently; talking constantly; hearing constantly; repetitive motions constantly; eye/hand/foot coordination constantly; working constantly Work conditions: extreme cold; extreme heat rarely; humidity rarely; wet rarely; noise rarely; hazards constantly; frequent temperature changes; atmospheric conditions rarely; vibration rarely Equal Employment Opportunity Statement Albany Med Health System is an equal opportunity employer.
