Job Summary Math Coach
Math coach positions with Muscle Shoals City Schools are typically may be 9 month or 10 month assignments unless noted otherwise. New hires with the district are required to attend a one day orientation. More than one position per category may become available and applicants may be considered for placement throughout the district based upon appropriate and current Alabama Certification credentials.
Prior to employment, all potential employees must present evidence of a clear status resulting from a (self-pay) background check through the Alabama State Department of Education. Individuals hired for instructional positions must hold or be eligible for Alabama Teaching Certification in the appropriate field. Individuals hired for administrative positions must hold or be eligible for Alabama Certification as a School Administrator/Instructional Leader.
Salary schedules are available on the MSCS website. Job descriptions are available at the MSBOE Central Office, 3200 S. Wilson Dam Road, Muscle Shoals, AL 35661.
All positions are posted to meet the minimum number of days required by state regulations and are open until filled by the Muscle Shoals Board of Education. New employees are required to provide a Social Security number, an unexpired identity document that contains a photograph, and other acceptable documents that establish employment eligibility. In addition to determining whether a new hire is authorized to work in the United States, E-Verify will confirm that the employee's name and Social Security match.
