Join our growing team supporting the NGA customer's mission as a Database Analyst.ResponsibilitiesWhat you get to do every day:As a PostgreSQL Database Analyst you will analyze, design, develop, implement, and support SQL infrastructure deployment and management. You will work under limited supervision and perform additional duties as assigned to include, but not limited to:Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of servers running on one or more operating systems.Maintains the integrity and security, configures role-base access control (RBAC), and sets up administrative accountsSets up administrator and service accounts.Maintain documentation for configurations, standards, and procedures.Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.Develops and implements testing strategies and document results.Provides advice on performance tuning and training to end-users.Evaluates open-source or vendor tools and participates in database migration/special modernization projects.Collaborate with developers on schema design, query optimization, and stored procedures.Plan and execute database upgrades, patching, and migrations.Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours support.QualificationsClearance Required: Active TS clearance (with SCI Eligibility) and eligibility to obtain CI PolyEducation/Experience:Requires Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience5+ years of related database analysis and/or administration experienceRequired Skills:PostgreSQL experience required. Oracle database administration a plus.CompTIA Security+ or equivalent recommendedExperience in PostgreSQL administration/tuning including knowledge and implementation of database high-availability solutionsExperience in monitoring, creating, and managing PostgreSQL server agent alertsExperience with Database backup, restore, migration, and Database snapshot technologies/strategiesKnowledge on how to build/maintain efficient database table structures for both transactional and warehouse dataKnowledge of Oracle 19c administration and performance tuningMigration experience with Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQLWhat is ideal?Intelligence Community Experience preferredWhat you can expect from usRecognizing great achievements do not go unnoticed by bcore through service anniversaries, spot awards, and employee referral bonusesYou'll join a growing organization of passionate, top-shelf, IT engineering professionals with extensive experience in actively developing the technology revolution in the Intelligence communityThe expected salary range within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $122,000-$135,000. Final compensation is unique to each individual and will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, geographic location, and contractual requirements.
