Responsibilities

• Work effectively within a team to ensure projects are completed on time.
• Lead by example to promote continuous improvement.
• Monitor workflow for timeliness and accuracy.
• Maintain a safe work environment and ensure safe practices.
• Preliminary quality control of fabricated parts.
• Make discretionary task decisions as necessary.
• Fabricate and assemble parts based on CAD drawings.
• Perform cutting, fitting, and use band saws, punch press, and drill press.
• Other duties as assigned.

• 3-5 years of experience in metal fabrication.
• Proficiency in fabrication, welding (MIG/TIG), and assembly.
• Ability to read and understand CAD drawings.
• Knowledge of fabrication principles, cutting, and fitting.
• Experience with punch press, drill press, and saw line.

• WABO welding certifications in TIG and MIG are desired.
• High school diploma or GED required; technical trade school training is preferred.

After a 3-month temporary period, there is an opportunity to join the Union. Work in a smaller shop environment with a team of 16 employees, creating high-end signs for prestigious clients.

Work Environment

The work is conducted in a shop located in Auburn, WA. The facility operates a day shift from 5am to 3:30pm, Monday to Thursday. The environment is focused on crafting high-end signs with a team-oriented approach.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, WA.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.
