This position assists pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency in all pharmacy processes.Key ResponsibilitiesAccurately prepare, label, and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervisionProvide exceptional customer service to patients, caregivers, and staffProcess prescription orders, including data entry and insurance adjudicationManage inventory, restock medications, and monitor for expired productsOperate cash register and handle transactions in accordance with policiesMaintain compliance with state, federal, and IU Health regulationsSupport workflow efficiency in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environmentQualificationsRequired:High school diploma or equivalentActive Indiana Pharmacy Technician licenseNational Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) requiredMinimum of 2 years of pharmacy technician experiencePreferred:Retail pharmacy experienceFamiliarity with pharmacy systems and insurance processingKey SkillsStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracyExcellent customer service and communication skillsAbility to multitask in a high-volume settingTeam-oriented with a positive attitudeWork EnvironmentOnsite role at University Hospital retail pharmacyFast-paced, patient-facing environment
