About the Opportunity

Promotive is recruiting an Automotive Technician for an independent Mercedes-Benz repair shop in Cincinnati, OH. The shop is built around honesty, craftsmanship, sustainability, and community involvement , with a focus on straightforward recommendations, Mercedes-Benz expertise, and thorough, detail-oriented repairs.

Technicians work in a shop equipped with A/C and heat , providing a comfortable environment throughout the year. The shop also emphasizes environmentally responsible practices through recycling, energy-efficient lighting, and hands-on alternative-fuel projects, including CNG and fully electric vehicle conversions.

This is an independent Mercedes-Benz service and repair facility and is not affiliated with Daimler Benz AG or its subsidiaries.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform initial vehicle evaluations and diagnostics to develop repair plans and recommendations.
• Utilize Mercedes-Benz diagnostic equipment, technical data, labor guides, and service bulletins to diagnose and repair vehicle concerns.
• Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including component testing and replacement.
• Perform suspension rebuilds, repairs, and setup.
• Perform mechanical repairs and overhauls of driveline units and components.
• Complete automotive maintenance, mechanical repairs, and drivability diagnostics.
• Road test completed vehicles to evaluate repair results and identify additional concerns.
• Perform assigned repairs accurately and efficiently while supporting an effective shop workflow.

Qualifications

• Professional automotive repair experience appropriate for a C-Level, B-Level, or A-Level technician.
• Must have European automotive experience.
• Ability to perform repairs beyond basic maintenance.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Automotive diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a professional automotive repair environment.
• Willingness to continue developing repair and diagnostic skills.

Compensation & Benefits

• A-Level Technician: $40–$50 per hour
• B-Level Technician: $30–$40 per hour
• C-Level Technician: $25–$30 per hour
• Hourly compensation.
