As a member of this team your focus will be providing server support for Micron's Engineering design teams to ensure solutions meet or exceed business requirements. In this role you will be expected to suggest, promote, and leverage published standards to minimize environment complexity and ensure high server uptime and availability in a Linux environment.What's Encouraged Daily:Provide best in class computer support for engineering design teamsServe as a technical leader and escalation point for technologies supporting the Linux compute spaceDrive innovation and automation of computer solutions both internally and for our customersProvision physical and virtual systems.Drive configuration management through PuppetProficient in scripting languages and tools to automate tasks, system builds, and system configuration management (Puppet, Python, shell, etc.)Partner with customers and internal application teams to onboard, enable, and optimize AI workloadsSupport the deployment, integration, and operation of AI-driven applications, services, and agents aligned to business workflowsTroubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to AI workload access, performance, integration, and reliabilityMonitor overall health of the Unix/Linux environment with an emphasis on proactive discovery of potential issuesContinually work to improve Linux compute environment through automation.Propose and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of systems and services.Minimum Qualifications:3-5 years of experience supporting enterprise Red Hat Unix/Linux solutionsStrong scripting skills(Shell, Python, etc.)Deep knowledge and experience supporting RHEL 8 & 9Proficient with LDAP configuration and managementExperience with virtualization (VMware)Hands-on experience with computer hardware maintenanceHands-on experience supporting AI, HPC, cloud, or other large-scale compute infrastructure in production environmentsDemonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer serviceStrong drive for continuous improvementIn-depth knowledge of Redhat Kickstart and configuration management tools (puppet preferred)Proven skills in automating systems services and tasks to streamline service and ensure consistencyAdvanced troubleshooting skills and the ability to solve complex problemsExperience supporting servers in the cloud preferredStrong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal)Strong skills in decision-making, prioritization and negotiationPassion and accountability for the environment you will be responsible forAbility to lift up to 50lbs.Preferred Qualifications:FlexLm license managementProject management experienceExperience with revision control systemsGood understanding of Agentic AI or willingness to learn Agentic AI to help develop efficient workflowAs a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
