License: Registered in Nuclear Medicine with ARRT or NMTCB

Certifications: BLS, ARRT

Description: Responsible for performing all aspects of patient exam activities of nuclear medicine. Produces high-quality images consistent with established policies and procedures. Performs diagnostic studies in nuclear medicine imaging. Obtains patient history and explains standard procedures. Addresses patient concerns to foster a sense of comfort and confidence. Operates and maintains all assigned nuclear scanning imaging equipment. Measures and prepares concentrations of radioactive isotopes for diagnostic information. Properly identifies, prepares, and administers medications as prescribed by a licensed independent practitioner. Completes quality assurance processes and practices radiation safety. Complies with regulatory laws, standards, and protocols. Maintains all required documentation, logs, charts, forms, and records in paper and electronic formats. Maintains an adequate supply of all consumables to perform quality testing. Performs routine maintenance and function checks on all imaging equipment. May assist other areas of radiology as assigned. Performs other related duties as required and directed.
