Senior Director, Emerging BioPharma, Business Development (West/Mid-West)

Senior leadership role managing business development and sales operations for IQVIA's emerging biopharma segment across multiple western and central U.S. regions. Responsible for directing sales strategy, managing staff, identifying growth opportunities, and maintaining senior-level customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Direct business development activities from lead identification through contract execution
- Manage and supervise sales staff performance, development, and career progression
- Monitor customer account plans and pipeline status to sustain revenue targets
- Identify target markets, develop strategic relationships, and analyze implementation plans
- Participate in proposal preparation and defense meetings with senior management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business management
- 15 years CRO/pharmaceutical or sales industry experience with 10+ years in management
- Proven track record developing mid-level and executive business contacts
- Understanding of drug discovery, development, and commercialization principles
- Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation abilities
- Ability to coach, mentor, and influence internal and external stakeholders
Compensation: $129,800–$361,800 base
