Job Description

The hour wage Event Assistant will provide support and assistance to the Director and staff of the Hahn Horticulture Garden with a focus on event coordination. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Assist in the recruitment and coordination of events
• Respond to event inquiries
• Assist with logistics and required paperwork for events
• Provide a presence and support during events
• Maintain files and submit required forms to meet deadlines
• Funds handling
• Coordinate tours, education and outreach programs

Required Qualifications

Good communication skills and outstanding customer service; Extremely reliable, self-motivated, creative, and detail-oriented; Willing to work late nights and weekends, depending on event schedule, oftentimes without supervision; Enthusiastic and professional; Comfortable with public speaking; Experience with computer programs, especially Microsoft Office software.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with event planning and coordination; Experience working with diverse clientele.
