Step into a rewarding per diem opportunity, supporting high school students as they experience hands-on learning in Certified Nurse Assisting courses. This contract role is perfect for an experienced RN who thrives in a teaching and supervisory capacity. The position offers flexible shifts as needed, primarily between 8 to 10 am and 12 to 2 pm throughout the school year. You’ll be present in Career & Technical Education (CTE) classes and provide coverage for teachers during absences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and guide students during their on-the-job clinical learning in an 8:1 setting
• Collaborate with classroom instructors to develop valid and engaging clinical experiences
• Coordinate clinical instruction schedules to align with curriculum goals
• Regularly meet and communicate with agency personnel regarding student placements and progress
• Assess and report student competency and performance throughout their clinical experience
• Respond to additional duties as directed by the Nurse Aide Teacher

Essential Qualifications:

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Fulfillment of Civil Service requirements for the School Nurse title
• Recent hands-on experience in long-term care or nursing home settings
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and engage high school students, especially those enrolled in Certified Nurse Assisting programs
