Purchasing Agent

LOCATION : Kennedy Space Center, Merritt Island, FL
JOB STATUS : Full-Time | Onsite or Hybrid/Remote

CITIZENSHIP: U.S. Citizen Required

We are seeking a motivated Purchasing Agent to join our team at the Kennedy Space Center . This role is essential for supporting procurement activities and ensuring timely acquisition of goods and services that support mission success.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline

• 2+ years of related experience (Purchasing Agent)

• Working knowledge of CostPoint and NASA FAR requirements

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities without sacrificing accuracy

• U.S. Citizenship required

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and customer interface skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SharePoint

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Partner with requestors to understand procurement needs and requirements

• Obtain and evaluate vendor quotes to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance

• Create and process purchase orders (POs) or purchase via credit card

• Monitor vendor performance and maintain strong supplier relationships

• Reconcile procurement documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness

• Support ad hoc projects and initiatives as assigned
