Warehouse Associate 1st Shift

Warehouse Associates perform material and product loading and unloading activities to support the branch/warehouse location. In their day-to-day duties, they operate a forklift, overhead crane and construction tools.

Base pay rate is $15.75 - $17.75 per hour

Shift Hours: 7:30AM - 5:00PM, Monday - Friday (with potential overtime)

Key Objectives And Responsibilities

• Complete work assignments and customer orders safely, accurately, timely and without damage. Assist co-workers and customers.
• Inspect materials, products, machinery, tools and equipment.
• Assist with inventory management activities including daily updates to the ERP system.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
• Assist in the movement of inventory within and among workstations and areas.
• Comply with all safety requirements and use applicable personal protective equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, adjustments, and lubrication on equipment and production tools as required to maintain proper operation.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Pace Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Communication Effective communication abilities.
• Physical Stamina Ability to lift and move heavy items, often requiring the use of equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Attention to Detail Ensuring orders are processed accurately and inventory is managed correctly.
• Organizational Skills Efficiently organizing stock and maintaining a clean workspace.
• Teamwork Collaborating with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

Education And Work Experience Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• A combination of education and experience may be qualifying.
• Must be able to become certified to operate a forklift vehicle and overhead crane.
• Education High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Lifting Capacity Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Mobility Prolonged periods of time on feet, standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping, crouching, etc.
• Exposure Moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and non-climate-controlled environment.
• Noise Tolerance High noise levels.
