Money Room Manager

The Money Room Manager oversees all cash related activities from Food & Beverage sales during each business day. The Money Room Manager works under the direction of the Keeneland Hospitality Director of Finance during live racing and horse sales.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Supervises all Money Room Counters and assistants during each business day.
• Balances cash from Food & Beverage sales on a daily basis.
• Makes cash deposits in a timely manner.
• Develops cash procedures and processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Oversees preparation of all individual concession and dining room banks.
• Troubleshoots any issues with cash, coin, counters, counting software, etc.
• Assists Director of Finance where needed.
• Assists Operations Team with cash related activities.

• Previous experience in cash handling or finance.
• Previous supervision/managerial experience.
• Available to work a schedule based upon business needs including weekends during live race meets in April and October and horse sales during September and November.
• Ability to communicate effectively with other employees.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
• Ability to receive feedback and take action when appropriate.
• Strong team player.

High school education; one or more years' related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
