Senior Paving Construction Inspector

Job Description WSP is one of the Globe's leading engineering firms. We are hiring a Senior Paving Construction Inspector to oversee multiple types of urban and rural pavement rehabilitation or preservation projects with construction values ranging from $1 million to $25 million. This position can be based out of Portland, Augusta, Eliot, ME, or Merrimack, NH. Your Impact Interfacing with contractors and attending meetings. Mentoring or supervising other inspectors on behalf of the resident engineer or project manager. Completing daily reports, measuring and calculating unit price quantities. Coordinating independent material sampling and testing. Monitoring maintenance of traffic. Taking and compiling photographs to track daily progress. Who You Are Required Qualifications High School Diploma. 9 years of applicable experience. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, design plans and specifications. Valid driver's license. Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies. Exercise responsible and ethical decision‑making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adherence to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies. Authorization to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications Associate of Science degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related field. NETTCP HMA certifications, or ability to attain within 3 months of hiring. Average proficiency with MS Word Suite. Hands‑on experience with construction management software such as Site or Field Manager, APPIA, Procore, IPD or similar systems. Knowledge of Bluebeam. Demonstrated supervisory skills. Any combination of college education, professional licenses, certifications and experience will be considered.
