HVAC Controls Technician

In this role, you will be responsible for installation, programming, and service of commercial building digital control systems. These responsibilities will increase based on exposure to tasks, ability to develop troubleshooting skill set, and consistent and accurate completion of assignments. The Building Automation Systems (BAS) you will be installing and servicing includes but is not limited to Daikin branded controls or third-party controls system. Come be a part of an exciting journey at Daikin Applied, where innovation and excellence drive our every endeavor!Location: Montgomery/Auburn, AL. - OnsiteWhat you will do:Provide responsive and professional customer service with the goal of building and maintaining long-term customer relationshipsIdentify, analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot direct digital control systemsPerform preventative maintenance, commissioning, and replacement modifications as needed or requested by customersMaintain building automation systems by inspecting trend logs, reports, schedules, applications, hardware, and programmingProvide controls technical support to HVAC techniciansTrain and mentor less experienced techniciansCreate and/or implement programming and graphics for new installations and retrofit projectsCommission controls installations and verify that control sequences meet scope, design, or specificationsRecord and report billing, inventory, timecards, technician tip reports, and other articles as required and in a timely mannerInteract and train customers by offering status reports of service before, during, and after each call and explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiencesParticipate in available training through regional technician trainers, off-site learning modules, and Daikin Learning. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls.
