Key Responsibilities Own the vision, strategy, and rollout execution for Pret’s Shop Tools ecosystem, including back-of-house forecasting systems, production planning tools, recipe management platforms, and digital applications. Define and prioritize product initiatives that improve shop efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance team member experience Translate operational needs into scalable, intuitive digital solutions that can be deployed across a growing US shop footprint Continuously evaluate product performance and iterate based on shop feedback, data insights, and evolving business priorities Shop-Centric Product Development Spend significant time in shops to deeply understand operational workflows, pain points, and opportunities for improvement Partner with Operations Team, Shop General Managers and front-line team members to co-create tools that are practical, simple, and impactful Ensure products are designed with real-world usability in mind, balancing speed, accuracy, and ease of execution in fast-paced environments Act as the voice of the shop in all product decisions Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Culinary, Finance, and Technology teams to define requirements and deliver end-to-end solutions Collaborate with IT, Engineering, and Data teams to build robust, scalable systems that integrate seamlessly with Pret’s broader tech stack Align stakeholders across all levels, from shop teams to senior leadership, ensuring clarity on priorities, timelines, and outcomes Drive adoption of tools through effective rollout strategies, training, and change management Manage the full product lifecycle from concept through launch and iteration Establish and track key performance indicators such as forecast accuracy, waste reduction, labor efficiency, and tool adoption Identify and proactively address risks, gaps, and inefficiencies in product performance Champion a culture of continuous improvement, always seeking ways to simplify and optimize shop operations Qualifications Required Experience 3 – 5+ years of experience in product management, operations, or related roles, preferably in retail, QSR, hospitality or consumer-facing businesses Proven experience building and scaling internal tools or operational systems (e.g., forecasting, inventory, scheduling or recipe management platforms) Experience working in fast-paced, operationally complex environments with both physical and digital components Demonstrated success delivering products that drive measurable business impact Bachelors Degree Preferred Product Thinking: Ability to define clear product vision and translate complex operational challenges into simple, effective solutions Operational Empathy: Deep curiosity about how things work on the ground; willingness to spend time in shops and learn directly from team members Attention to Detail: Exceptional precision in defining requirements, testing solutions, and ensuring data and workflows are accurate and reliable Cross-Functional Leadership: Strong ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders without direct authority Execution Excellence: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deliver on tight timelines, and maintain high quality Analytical Mindset: Comfort using data to inform decisions, measure success and prioritize opportunities Communication Skills: Clear and concise communicator who can bridge technical and non-technical audiences Adaptability & Grit: Thrives in ambiguity, embraces change and is not afraid to roll up sleeves and solve problems in real time Cultural Fit: Passion for Pret’s mission, values and commitment to doing the right thing Salary Range Competitive salary and performance bonus (25% annual bonus) 401(k) with company match Generous paid time off and company holidays Free Pret food and coffee Professional development and career growth within a global brand The base salary pay range for this role is $120,000 - $145,000. Compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and the specific work location of New York, New York, United States.
