Operating Engineer

Operating Engineer – Portland, OR JLL is looking for an Operating Engineer to support operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems. Responsibilities Perform tasks such as painting, pressure washing, maintaining lighting system bulbs/ballasts, plumbing, HVAC systems, water treatment, locksmith work, and general maintenance (as allowed by licensing requirements). Maintain the work order system (CMMS) daily and complete tenant service requests. Perform assigned preventive maintenance and inspection tasks. Support on‑call or emergency response situations (if applicable). Troubleshoot all building systems, including electrical, DDC, and pneumatic controls. Comply with all safety procedures. Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs. Complete other projects and tasks as assigned. Schedule & Compensation Estimated total compensation: $35.00 per hour. Schedule: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. (Employment offer based on education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and market data.) Qualifications 3+ years of related work experience, especially in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry. Trade school education, union training, military service or college is desirable. Universal CFC EPA certification or interest in achieving within the first year (with JLL assistance). Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams). Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall. Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift and/or drive. Strong customer service skills. Work Location On‑site – Portland, OR. Visa This position does not provide visa sponsorship.
