Accounting Manager

Downers Grove, IL | Onsite-to-Hybrid Arrangement (3 days hybrid over time) Financial Services Firm | Rapidly Growing, Commercial Asset Management, Investment Lending Position Overview A rapidly growing financial services firm specializing in commercial asset management and investment lending is expanding its leadership team. Operating as a critical subsidiary of a major, multi-billion-dollar publicly traded real estate investment trust, the company manages its own formidable breadth of net assets. They are seeking an ambitious accounting professional ready to lead high-impact financial operations, collaborate directly with executive leadership, and drive financial reporting excellence during a phase of robust organizational growth. Core Responsibilities Financial Reporting: Direct the month-end close and quarter-end close processes to ensure precise, timely financial reporting. Treasury & Reconciliation: Oversee bank reconciliations, corporate account management, and complex interest rate calculations. Analysis & Operations: Analyze corporate financial statements and partner across multiple operational departments to resolve accounting challenges. Compliance & Advisory: Serve as the primary internal contact for external auditors and corporate tax consultants. Required Qualifications Education : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred. Credentials : CPA designation is highly preferred. Experience : Minimum of 4 years in public accounting or 5+ years in a corporate accounting role with proven supervisory or management experience. T echnical Skills: Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel, specifically utilizing SUMIFS, XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, and pivot tables. Systems : Prior hands-on experience utilizing NetSuite is a strong plus. Industry Background : Previous experience within mortgage banking, lending, or real estate finance is highly advantageous.
