As a Security Officer Full Time Front Desk Operations in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a cultural institution, you will welcome visitors, manage access, monitor entry activity, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will help create a welcoming environment while supporting security-related operations through professionalism, attention to detail, and timely reporting. Pay Rate: $20.00 - $21.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service to visitors, staff, and guests at the front desk of a cultural institution while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Greet and direct visitors, manage access in accordance with established protocols, and maintain accurate visitor and credential records.
• Monitor front desk activity, alarms, cameras, and communication systems, reporting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures when appropriate.
• Maintain clear communication with site leadership, Allied Universal management, and emergency personnel as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
