Travel Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery - $2,470 per week

Job Overview TNAA TotalMed RN is looking for a travel nurse RN in Labor and Delivery for a 13‑week assignment in Templeton, California. The role is 36 hours per week with 12‑hour night shifts on a travel basis. Responsibilities Provide care and support for women before, during and after delivery of a baby. Assist physicians with epidurals, pain medication, episiotomies, and preparation for cesarean deliveries. Stay with and monitor patients throughout labor. Monitor contractions and help patients with breathing techniques. Check cervix periodically to monitor progression and lack of dilation. Ensure beds are kept clean and dry; clean up bodily fluids before and after the birthing process. Aid the physician with drapes, gloves, gowns, delivery instruments, etc. Provide immediate care of newborn. Qualifications RN license. 3 years recent acute care experience. ACLS , BLS , NRP , AWHONN certification and 2 years nursing experience. Experience in Labor and Delivery preferred. Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, stoop for long periods and lift up to 20 pounds routinely; occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Physical Demands Prolonged standing, walking, bending, stooping and lifting. Ability to cope with a fast‑paced, stressful environment and interact with people of all ages and backgrounds.
