Neurodiagnostic Technician

Location: Reno, NV

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 4x10 schedule, Wednesday to Saturday, from 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM.

Job Description: As a Neurodiagnostic Technician, you will assist in complex neurodiagnostic procedures for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of neurological diseases. You'll be responsible for executing care standards and participating in the implementation of industry protocols to improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assist and perform Neurodiagnostic examinations under supervision.
• Integrate electrodiagnostic needs with care providers to achieve patient outcomes.
• Review Neurodiagnostic studies for technique, patient safety, and completeness.
• Participate in educational sessions to contribute to the growth of students and allied health personnel.
• Maintain and evaluate new instrumentation and biomedical equipment related to neurodiagnostic technology.
• Perform various neurodiagnostic studies, including EEGs and nerve conduction studies.
• Keep current with technological advances and participate in obtaining certifications.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a relevant department.
• 3 years of recent hospital/neurology experience preferred.
• R.EEG.T or R.NCS.T or CNCT certification required.
• American Heart Association CPR certification for healthcare providers is necessary within 60 days of employment.
