Founded in 1946, Angelus Block is California’s leading producer of concrete masonry units, interlocking concrete pavers, decorative site wall units, and segmental planter wall units. This position is an entry level position. A General Plant Laborer is responsible for the majority of the physical/manual labor performed on the job.

Position Responsibilities:

• Perform a range of physical/manual labor duties including, but not limited to, equipment maintenance, pallet repair, loading and unloading, and other miscellaneous labor work as needed (including repetitive lifting and moving of 80+ pound objects).
• Perform general clean up around Plant, and maintains appearance of equipment.
• Operating equipment as needed, efficiently and with accuracy.
• Completes all paperwork that may be necessary; assist with Plant work as required by Plant Management.
• Completes visual and daily safety inspection of equipment to ensure safe operations.
• Other duties as assigned by Plant Management.

Other Related Experiences Required or Preferred:

• Minimum of one year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience******
• Ability to read, write and speak English. Must have the ability to understand and abide by Company policies and safety rules.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred but, not required.
• Experience working in the construction industry is preferred
• Experience working in an industrial environment
• Must have the ability to push, pull and lift 50 lbs. +.
