Extrusion Lead

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in aluminum extrusion processes, is seeking a dedicated and proactive Extrusion Lead to join their team. As an Extrusion Lead, you will be an integral part of the Extrusion Department, supporting a collaborative and innovative work environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement, aligning seamlessly with the company's vision and strategic goals.

Job Title: Extrusion Lead

Location: Alexandria, MN

Pay Range: $21.25/hour

Shift:  Mon-Wed-6:30p-6:30a, Thurs 6:30p-12:30a

What's the Job?

• Exhibit active leadership to model and support the company's vision and strategies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships within the department to effectively serve and support coworkers and employees.
• Ensure the department has the necessary tools and resources to communicate delays or changes in product schedules.
• Provide leadership to the extrusion team, including participating in hiring and onboarding processes.
• Apply continuous improvement techniques to optimize department operations and ensure high-quality aluminum extrusions.

What's Needed?

• Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical skills to review department data and identify improvement opportunities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Knowledge of extrusion processes and quality standards is preferred.
• Willingness to support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a clean, organized work area using 5S principles.
