Billing Specialist

The Billing Specialist will be responsible for maintaining the highest level of customer service while performing the following skills. Manages large amounts of inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner Interviews, obtains, and verifies patient information via phone Informs patients or customers of any missed or upcoming payment deadlines Processes customer payments per Mia Aesthetics’ protocols and procedures Advises patients about financing options and walks them through the payment process Researches and responds appropriately to all balance inquiries Generates invoices and conducts financial transactions ensuring they are on track and on time Ensures invoices match contracts for upcoming patient surgeries Audits the data input in the accounting system to ensure the accuracy of the final bill Sends links to patients to be able to self-pay online Sends links to patients to be able to self-pay with Care Credit Gathers all proper documentation to process a financing payment Requirements Outstanding customer service skills Outstanding mathematical skills Strong time management and organizational skills Ability to work with a high sense of urgency Ability to efficiently multi-task and prioritize work GED or High School Diploma required Minimum 1-2 years of customer service experience Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred HIPPA & OSHA Compliance Certification preferred Mia Aesthetics is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
