Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous experience in a classroom, daycare, or related educational support role
• Familiarity with special education, individualized education plans (IEPs), or 1:1 student support
• Strong communication skills and a patient, encouraging approach
• High school diploma or equivalent (additional education or paraprofessional certification is a plus)
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, specialists, and school staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide focused, compassionate assistance to a designated student in either 1st or 6th grade
• Support learning activities, help implement lesson plans, and encourage engagement
• Assist with academic tasks, social skills development, and behavioral goals
• Adapt instructional strategies to fit the student’s unique needs
• Maintain accurate and confidential records as required
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere
