Senior Staff Accountant

Description Overview: Intermountain Home Services is hiring a Senior Accountant to oversee core accounting processes and play a key role in monthly financial reporting, reconciliation, and analysis. As a senior member of the accounting team, you’ll provide expertise and consistency in executing day-to-day accounting functions, while identifying opportunities to improve systems and processes. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset who wants to contribute to a growing, values-driven organization. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and balance sheet items Support month-end and year-end close, including financial reporting packages Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation entries Coordinate with outside tax advisors and auditors Monitor compliance with internal controls and accounting policies Collaborate with departments to ensure timely and accurate financial entries Recommend improvements to accounting processes and systems Leadership & Accountability Serve as a leader to peers, helping drive a culture of ownership, accountability, continuous improvement, and high-level execution Hold team members and business partners accountable for meeting deadlines and fulfilling responsibilities Proactively follow up and push for completion of deliverables across departments Demonstrate the ability to push back constructively on leadership when needed, using data and sound judgment Requirements Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 3+ years of experience in general accounting (public or private sector) Strong working knowledge of GAAP and internal controls Proficient in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or similar) Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Intermountain Home Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate in employment on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, political affiliation, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, age, parental status, military service, or other non-merit factor. #J-18808-Ljbffr Intermountain Home Services LLC
