Location: Danvers, MA Schedule: 3pm-11pm, Sunday-Thursday (40hrs a week) Target Hourly Rate: $23.50-$24.50/ Hour Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to, the individual's experience, education, and internal equity. As a Direct Support Professional, you will be at the heart of that commitment. Working in the community in a home setting with either multiple residents or someone who lives independently, you will play a meaningful role in the daily lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, supporting them in building skills, making choices, and fully participating in their communities. Responsibilities Providing quality living supports and supervision for intellectually and developmentally disabled individuals living in residential programs or independently Teach, support, and facilitate choices for individuals served within their homes and communities Serve as a role model for individuals and assist in developing social skills Develop and maintain respectful, caring, and empowering relationships with the individuals you support Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and support individuals in achieving their personal goals Maintain accurate documentation and complete required reports in accordance with agency standards Maintain a safe environment by following Northeast Arc policies, Universal Precautions, and all applicable regulations Administer medications according to Northeast Arc Policies and Procedures and MAPs Regulations. Support Drs appointments, ER and hospital visits and contact on-call nursing appropriately. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required At least one year of Human Service Experience strongly preferred Ability to develop and maintain a respectful, caring, tolerant, ethical and empowering relationship with individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral formats A desire to assist people in achieving their dreams and goals Valid driver's license required Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, stand for periods of time, bend, push wheelchairs, provide physical intervention as necessary, and be able to lift and/or transfer individuals Complete and maintain First Aid, CPR, MAPs, Vehicle Safety, Human Rights, and Fire Safety certifications Must successfully complete and pass all required background checks as a condition of employment Benefits & Perks At Northeast Arc, we offer a competitive and comprehensive benefits package that supports your well-being and growth.
