Fire Claims Billing Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Fire ClaimsBilling Specialist to join our team! In this role, you will beresponsible for end-to-end management of fire incident claims, includingretrieving incident data, verifying and submitting claims to insurancecarriers, processing payments, and ensuring timely follow-up, and meetingestablished production quotas. ESSENTIAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES Meet individual productiontargets for claims processing while maintaining accuracy and compliance. Retrieve and reviewincident data from clients to ensure all necessary information is collected. Communicate effectively withinsurance adjusters, insured drivers, and businesses to clarify information andfacilitate claim processing. Verify the accuracy andcompleteness of submitted claims prior to submission. Enter, update, andmaintain insurance policy and claim information in the company database. Calculate, prepare, andsubmit accurate billing to insurance carriers promptly. Process inspection andclaim payments, including over-the-phone payments. Monitor claim statuses andfollow up on unpaid or delayed claims to ensure timely resolution. Manage appeals and respondto denied claims as needed, providing supporting documentation. Contact responsibleparties and insurance companies regarding claims outstanding over 30 days. Maintain accurate andorganized records for all assigned accounts. Assist with specialprojects and perform other duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school diploma orequivalent required; associate degree in insurance, business administration,accounting, or a related field preferred. Minimum of one year ofexperience in fire incident claims processing or a related field required. Familiarity with fireterminology and report structure required. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ANDABILITIES Intermediate or higherproficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word). Strong customer serviceskills and professional demeanor. Excellent verbal andwritten communication skills. High level of accuracy andattention to detail. Ability to manage multiplepriorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational andtime management skills.
