Physical Therapist

Hourly Pay Range:
$38.67 - $59.94 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

• Location: Edward Hospital, Naperville, IL
• Full-Time
• Hours: 2 evening shifts until 8:00 pm. Flexible with remaining hours typically between 7:00 am - 5:30 pm. 1 weekend per 8-week cycle. 1 summer and 1 winter holiday

We accomplish this by utilizing our many specialized therapists who teach at local universities. They provide mentorship within our residency and fellowship programs. While our primary population of patients is orthopedic physical therapy, we also offer Occupational and Speech services. We offer specialties in hand, neuro, vestibular, pelvic health, pediatrics, and lymphedema.


What you will need:

• A minimum of 1-3 years experience in acute care, with demonstration of clinical independence
• For Physical Therapist II level - minimum of 2 years work experience required
• For Physical Therapist I level - open to 0 to 2 years' experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy (if graduated before 2002) OR Master of Science or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (if graduated 2002 - 2014) OR Doctorate in Physical Therapy (if graduated 2015 and after).
• Current State of Illinois Physical Therapist licensure
• Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association BLS provider
• Support available for certification and development

What you will do:

This position is responsible for evaluating and treating our orthopedic and same-day surgery procedures during the evening shifts. Demonstrates an appropriate level of clinical skill, as evidenced by the completion of comprehensive and insightful evaluations, and the development of individualized and effective treatment plans designed to achieve precise, functional goals. Evaluates patient's physical and functional status and plans and implements therapeutic programs that include prevention, identification, correction and alleviation of acute or prolonged movement dysfunction of an anatomic or physiologic origin. Uses excellent communication skills to educate patients and engage them in their own care. Stays updated regarding developments, new techniques, and equipment in the field of physical therapy. Maintains a well-rounded knowledge base, and clinical reasoning skills to consistently achieve expected clinical outcomes.
