Quality Technician I

Job Description Quality Technician job in Flower Mound, TX at MI Windows and Doors. Perform thorough inspections using guidelines set in the company QMS manual to stay compliant with the AAMA certification program. Assist in the education and training of each process performed throughout the production processes. Hourly compensation range $21.50 to $24.50 (plus shift differential) for night shift position starting at 7PM. Company – MITER Brands (Milgard, MI Windows & Doors, PGT Innovations), one of the nation’s largest suppliers of vinyl windows and patio doors. Responsibilities Perform daily QA mandatory tests outlined in the QMS manual (e.g., butterfly test, slosh test, weld test, sill drainage). Conduct start-to-finish audits developed in the company Quality Hawk system using a provided tablet at the frequency outlined in the QMS manual. Routinely check all processes are performed correctly. Inspect incoming raw materials to ensure they meet quality standards. Provide ongoing training and awareness of the company QMS standards. Support and implement policies and procedures as outlined in the QMS manual. Train production team members on Start-to-Finish audits. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent combination of experience and education. One to three months of experience in a production environment. Basic understanding of math equations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; good verbal and written communication. Ability to train production team members. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook. Ability to use simple testing equipment (e.g., tape measure, caliper, thermal thermometer). Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles (Lean 101).
