Sales Representative

Pay Range: $ - $ Job title: Sales Representative Location: West Deptford NJ At Johnson Matthey, your work will matter. As a Sales Representative, you’ll join a world leader in platinum group metals with over 200 years of history. Using advanced metals chemistry, you’ll help tackle the world’s biggest challenges – cutting emissions, powering modern life and supporting life‑saving technologies – by applying, refining and recycling metals that matter for a healthier, more sustainable, circular future. The role: Delivering financial targets across assigned accounts and segments within the region Building and strengthening relationships with new and existing customers to support long‑term growth Identifying and developing new business opportunities, including project pipelines and displacement opportunities Collaborating with internal teams such as R&D, Legal, Finance and Production to support commercial activity Leading or supporting contract and supply agreement negotiations with key customers Monitoring market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategies and customer engagement Key skills that will help you succeed in this role: Degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry (Bachelor’s required, Master’s preferred) Proven experience in account management within a technical or scientific environment Strong commercial awareness and ability to position solutions in complex customer environments Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, both written and verbal Ability to plan, prioritise and manage multiple opportunities and customer relationships Experience working with pharmaceutical or agrochemical markets is advantageous What we offer: We make sure salaries are fair, competitive and aligned to individual roles, experience and responsibilities.
