Empower students to reach their full physical potential in a contract-based, school-focused physical therapy role in the Glendale, CA area. Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Physical Therapist license (California state)
- Experience or strong interest in school-aged pediatric populations
- Familiarity with developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication skills for working with students, teachers, and families
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Previous school-based PT experience is a plus, but not required
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ physical and functional needs
- Develop goal-oriented treatment plans tailored to each student
- Deliver direct therapy services and monitor progress in accordance with IEPs
- Collaborate with teaching staff, families, and other specialists to support student success and inclusion
- Provide input to classroom staff on adaptive equipment and accessibility
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Guide and educate school staff and families about strategies to enhance student mobility and independence
