Cook 2

Cook 2 is proficient in all duties of Cook 1. In addition, Cook 2 is responsible for performing various duties in food preparation and cooking on single hotline stations following the methods and procedures set by the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) of the Food and Beverage Leadership.1. Prepare food for the cooking line.2. Ensure prep lists are prepared and cooking line is stocked at the beginning and end of each shift.3. Ensure prep area organization and sanitation to ensure food does not fall into the danger zone.4. Consult with Food & Beverage Leadership regarding daily operations as it relates to food preparation and stock levels ensuring that adequate supplies are maintained.5. Support minimal food waste and portion control.6. Assist cooks working on the hotline by following menu specifications.7. Work on single hotline stations.8. Perform all duties relating to the Cook 1 position.9. Other duties as assigned.1. Stand and walk for long periods of time.2. Use hands and arms to finger, handle, feel and reach.3. Taste or smell.4. Climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl.5. Talk and hear.6. Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.7. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance, color, peripheral, depth and ability to adjust focus.8. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and may be at risk of electrical shock.9. Must be able to work in hot, wet, and humid environments for long periods of time.10. Typical of that in a busy casino with heavy cigarette smoke accompanied with a variety of competing noises and communications.11.
