Residential Aide - Full Time

We are currently hiring on a per diem basis, with the opportunity to move into a full-time role once the transition to the Bronx location is complete. In this exciting role, the Residential Aide provides trauma-informed care and supervision to residents, addressing their high level of need and ensuring consistent emotional and behavioral support. You will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our participants by providing them with the support and assistance they need. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our participants, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and assisting with daily living activities. Duties/Responsibilities: Direct care experience. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Basic level computer skills such as knowledge in word. HousingPlus email usage. Must maintain a professional demeanor. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. REQUIREMENTS:

Required Skills/Abilities: Ability to work in Brooklyn. Ability to work 12am - 8am, 8am - 4pm or 4pm - 12pm / Weekdays and occasionally on weekends. Education and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent is required Security experience or Residential Aide experience working in a shelter Experience working in transitional housing or supportive housing Physical Requirements: Must be able to climb multiple flights of stairs regularly. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
