Registered Nurse - PICU

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide specialized pediatric critical care nursing services within the pediatric units of the facility. Support patient recovery and safety through skilled clinical interventions and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

• Administer age-appropriate treatments and monitor vital signs for pediatric patients in PICU, NICU, and CVPICU.
• Float among pediatric units to meet facility staffing needs, ensuring consistent patient care.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and responses.
• Adhere to facility and industry standards for safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality.
• Utilize advanced skills such as ECMO and CRRT when applicable, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license.
• Hold a minimum of 2 years Pediatric ICU experience.
• Certification in BLS and PALS from AHA required.
• Demonstrate proficiency with critical care procedures, including ECMO and CRRT preferred.
• Able to float across pediatric units and adapt to varying patient needs.
• Willing to work 3x12 night shifts, including weekends and holidays, with flexibility for RTO submissions.
